Billing and fees

Reading your billing history

The per-payment ledger of gross, fee, and net.

The Your price and partner tab under Money and payouts is the read-only record of Zoyn fees accrued from your settled payments: a trend chart per period on top, and the per-payment ledger below it, split by settlement currency.

(This ledger used to sit in Settings, at /settings/billing-history. That URL still works — it now redirects here.)

The columns

For each settled payment you see:

  • Amount received — what came in, in that payment's currency.
  • Fee rate — the per-transaction rate that payment was actually charged when it settled, as a percentage (for example 2.50%). Where that rate cannot be recovered, this column reads Not recorded instead of a number.
  • Fee — the Zoyn fee for that payment, in the same currency.
  • What you keep — what settled toward your payout wallet.

Every figure on the Your price and partner page — the trend chart and the ledger below it — is priced at the rate that payment was actually charged when it settled. Changing your rate today never restates a settled period. Where a payment's rate cannot be recovered, its Fee rate reads "Not recorded" and its Fee and What you keep cells are left blank, rather than showing a figure priced at a rate that payment was never charged. A note under the table says how many rows are affected whenever any are.

Reconciling

  • Figures here are priced at the rate each payment was actually charged, so this page and your own records should agree row for row, including for periods that closed before your rate last changed. To see what actually settled for a payment, use the block-explorer link on its detail page — the payment network's record is the authoritative answer if the two ever disagree.
  • Because fees are taken on the payment network as a split, you can independently check what actually arrived for any row on the payment network's public record.
  • For period totals and exports, use the Reports section, which breaks down revenue and fees over time. See Reports.

Legal & regulatory disclosures

Zoyn is software. It is not a bank, a payment processor, a payment gateway, a money transmitter or a money services business. Zoyn is never the seller in a sale (the "merchant of record"). Zoyn never holds a shop's money, and does not decide how long a payment company may hold it. When a customer pays by card or bank, the payment company handles that payment under its own terms and may hold it for a short time. The money then goes to the shop's own payment contract once the payment network has confirmed it.

Businesses can be based in 64 jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. Customers can pay from 130+ countries through the checkout providers we connect to; which countries customers can pay from is set by those providers, not by Zoyn, and may change without notice. Not available in sanctioned jurisdictions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
