Thin margins cannot carry a settlement delay.
Grocers, specialist food retailers and prepared-food sellers (MCC 5411 and 5499) restock daily and pay shift staff weekly, out of margins that leave no room for money sitting in transit. Settlement in USDC to a wallet you control, final after the required network confirmations, puts today's takings behind tomorrow's delivery.
The problem is the gap between paying and travelling.
Settlement that arrives after the restock is due
Perishable stock is ordered against money that has not landed yet. Card settlement timing, batch cut-offs and weekend gaps are set by the acquirer, not by your delivery schedule.
Settlement is treated as final only after the required network confirmations, into a smart-contract vault on Base, with no batch window and no cut-off time to plan around.
Per-transaction card costs on a low-value basket
Interchange and scheme assessments are a fixed line item on every basket, set upstream of you and least forgiving on small tickets — which is most of them in food retail.
The on-chain leg carries a network fee rather than a scheme's per-transaction economics, and no card-scheme chargeback fee sits behind it.
One payment, settled to a wallet you control.
Create the payment link
Set the amount and the reference — a trade account order, a catering job, a wholesale pallet.
The customer pays their way
Card or crypto on a hosted checkout. Card availability depends on the buyer's location, currency, and available checkout providers. Card-funded payments clear upstream through integrated global on-ramp bridges, so card data never reaches you.
The split contract routes the takings
Proportions are fixed when the contract is deployed: your share and the platform fee. Every payment follows them exactly, verifiable on a public block explorer.
USDC lands in wallets you control
Available immediately for the next restock. Zoyn is not in the flow of funds and never holds them.

Jurisdictions we cannot serve
We cannot onboard merchants operating from comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. We do not hold ourselves out as licensed anywhere.
Wallet addresses you'll be paid to are checked against sanctions lists when you enter them, and re-checked every day after that.
What groceries & food retail merchants ask first.
Can we run our till on this?
What ships today is fixed-amount payment links and a hosted card-or-crypto checkout — well suited to trade accounts, catering, wholesale and delivery orders. It is not a replacement for an in-store point-of-sale terminal, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
How does paying the team work?
Outside Zoyn — you pay your team yourself, from your own wallet, on your own schedule. Zoyn is a payment-link platform and is not in that flow; what it changes is that the takings behind the pay run are settled and yours the day they are earned.
Is there a reserve or a holdback on our takings?
Zoyn's pricing has a single deduction: the rate in your fee agreement. A rolling reserve exists to cover card disputes, and a settled on-chain transfer is not itself a card-network dispute rail, so no such reserve is part of the model. Settlement becomes final once the transaction confirms on-chain.
