Software & SaaS

Collect for the term, settle on the day.

Software vendors (MCC 5734) sell access rather than objects. There is no shipment to evidence, prepaid terms sit inside the dispute window for their whole length, and reseller economics have to be reconciled by hand. On-chain settlement changes all three.

Why this category gets penalised

The problem is the gap between paying and travelling.

Digital goods are the hardest disputes to win

An access grant leaves no delivery trail an acquirer recognises. Login records are rarely treated as compelling evidence, so digital-only categories are underwritten as elevated dispute risk.

Push-finality: the customer pushes the payment, and Zoyn does not reverse a confirmed transfer, so the on-chain leg produces no disputes to evidence.

Reserves against prepaid annual terms

Money collected up front for a twelve-month term is exposed for as long as the acquirer's dispute window stays open. A rolling reserve against annual prepayments is a normal underwriting response.

Settlement is treated as final only once the transaction confirms, and that confirmed leg is not a card-network dispute rail, so term length stops being an underwriting variable.

Reseller and partner revenue reconciled after the fact

A deal closed through an implementation partner or reseller owes two or three parties. That share is usually calculated from a report and paid weeks later, out of a single settlement.

Settlement reaches your wallet after the required network confirmations, so reseller and partner invoices can be paid on timing you control, from your own wallet, out of money that has already settled.

International customers, domestic banking rails

Selling globally from one banking relationship means issuer declines abroad, cross-border interchange, and FX spread on the way in and out.

Customers pay by card through integrated global on-ramp bridges in the countries listed on our Markets page, or directly in crypto, and either route settles as USDC on Base L2 by default.

How it works

One payment, settled to a wallet you control.

How a travel booking settles through ZoynA traveller pays a booking link. The payment reaches a settlement contract, which divides it in fixed proportions set when it was deployed and pays the merchant’s own wallet and the platform fee directly. Zoyn sits outside the flow of funds.TravellerHostedcheckoutSplitcontractYour walletPlatform feeZoyn (config)Funds never pass through Zoyn
1

Create the term link

Set the fixed amount for the seat count or plan period and add your account reference. Send it when you want that term paid.

2

Customer pays their way

Card or crypto on a hosted checkout. Card availability depends on the buyer's location, currency, and available checkout providers. Card-funded payments are handled upstream by integrated global on-ramp bridges — you never touch card data.

3

Split contract routes the payment

Shares are fixed in bps when the contract is deployed: your share and the platform fee. Every payment follows them exactly, verifiable on a public block explorer.

4

USDC lands in your vault

Smart-contract vault settlement on Base L2, final after the required network confirmations, into a wallet you control. Zoyn never holds it.

Category

MCC 5734 and 7372 are supported categories in this group. Your declared category is checked at signup.

Jurisdictions we cannot serve

We cannot onboard merchants operating from comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. We do not hold ourselves out as licensed anywhere.

Wallet addresses you'll be paid to are checked against sanctions lists when you enter them, and re-checked every day after that.

Common questions

What software & saas merchants ask first.

Can you charge our customers automatically each month?

No, and that is deliberate. Zoyn does not run recurring billing and never debits a customer without them completing a checkout. Each billing period is a fixed-amount link you create and send — the same push model that removes the chargeback also removes the automatic debit.

What happens if a customer wants to cancel mid-term?

You issue the pro-rata refund yourself, from your own wallet, according to your terms of service. Zoyn does not reverse it, and there is no card-scheme chargeback fee on the on-chain leg, so the refund follows the contract your customer agreed to rather than an issuer's dispute policy.

Do you take custody of our revenue?

No. Zoyn is not a payment processor and is not a money transmitter — settled funds never sit with us. Payments move from the customer into a split contract that pays your wallet directly, and Zoyn never holds them.

Legal & regulatory disclosures

Zoyn is a software provider operating a non-custodial payment orchestration platform — not a payment gateway, money transmitter, payment processor, or financial institution. Zoyn does not custody settled merchant funds or set provider reserve terms, and does not act as a merchant of record or money services business. Checkout and on-ramp providers may process or hold card- or bank-funded payments under their own terms before on-chain settlement reaches the merchant's nominated contract after required confirmations.

Direct merchant account onboarding supported across 64 verified global jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. Global buyer checkout (USDC settlement) supported across 130+ countries via integrated on-ramp bridges; buyer-checkout coverage is determined by the third-party on-ramp providers, not by Zoyn, and may change without notice. Not available in sanctioned jurisdictions: CU, IR, KP, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
