Too many chargebacks, and now nobody will approve you — even after you won.
This has a name in the industry: a shared file the big card networks keep on merchants they've cut off. Here is exactly how a business ends up in it, since it's unlikely anyone explained that to you the first time.
Read this first: we publish every business type we take and every one we refuse — 28 we take, 10 we refuse.

How a business ends up on a file like this.
It's arithmetic, not a verdict
One major card network's own rule works like this: if a single month's chargebacks total more than 1% of that month's card sales, and $5,000 or more, your card provider can list you — there is no minimum number of individual chargebacks required to trigger it. A handful of disputes on a slow month can be enough.
Winning doesn't undo it
Win every one of those disputes afterward, and the listing does not change. Close the account, and the listing still happens. It isn't a record of who was right — it's a record that the numbers crossed a line in one month.
It follows the owner, not just the business
The listing is filed with the name, address and tax ID of the business's principal owner — so it can follow you into your next business, under your own name. It stays on file for five years, and the only way off before then is if the provider that listed you admits it made an error.
A confirmed payment stays confirmed. A refund is yours to send.
Once a payment here is confirmed, Zoyn does not reverse it. If you owe a customer money back, you send it yourself, from your own wallet — the same way you'd send any other payment.
That's true of the confirmed on-chain leg specifically. If a customer paid by card through the checkout partner, that leg can still be disputed under the card company's own rules — we don't control that, and neither do you.
None of this erases a listing you already have, and it does not by itself lower a dispute ratio somewhere else — that's a separate account, with its own rules.
What people ask after a listing like this.
Will winning my disputes clear a listing like this?
Not on its own. The provider that filed it is the only one who can remove it, and only where it admits an error — winning the individual disputes does not change that on its own.
Does using Zoyn fix my dispute ratio somewhere else?
No. Your existing account and whatever ratio it's carrying are a separate relationship, with their own provider and their own rules. Nothing here changes them.
If I take payments here, do I still have to deal with disputes?
Once a payment here is confirmed, we don't reverse it — if you owe a customer money back, you send it yourself, from your own wallet, the same way you'd send any other payment. That's true of the confirmed on-chain leg. If your customer paid by card through the checkout partner, that leg can still be disputed under the card company's own rules, the same as any card payment anywhere.
Can I still get approved with a listing like this?
It depends — every application is reviewed individually, and we can't tell you in advance what a reviewer will decide. What we can tell you before you apply is exactly which business types we don't take at all, so you're not guessing.
Some businesses that search this are ones we don't take at all. See exactly what we accept and what we refuse before you spend time on an application.
