Reading your audit trail

Where the record of who changed what on your account lives, and what each column means.

Several things in Zoyn are described as being "recorded in your audit trail". You read that record in one place: My people and places → Who did what. It is available to owners and managers.

What it records

Every account-changing action taken by you or your team — team invites and role changes, wallet and key changes, settings changes — newest first, with five columns:

  • User — who did it. Where the system acted rather than a person, the row reads System.
  • Action — the exact action code, with the thing it acted on underneath.
  • Location — a two-letter country code, once edge routing is live for your account. Until then it reads Unknown, because the country is genuinely not reported to us. It is never guessed.
  • IP — the address the action came from, where one was recorded.
  • Date / time.

Filter by action narrows the list to one action code. Clearing the filter returns the whole trail. Long trails page with Older and Newer rather than loading everything at once.

Where payment history lives instead

The audit trail is about your account, not your money. For payments and payment-link history, use the surfaces built for them:

  • Payments — every payment, with its state and times, and Download CSV for the complete record.
  • A payment link's own page — open any link to see every recorded action on it and every payment taken against it, including the wallet it was Paid from and the Public record you can look up yourself.

Where sign-in activity lives instead

Settings → Profile shows where you are signed in right now. That is live access; this is history.

What the trail will and will not do

  • It is read-only, and entries are never edited or removed. That is what makes it usable as evidence of what happened.
  • It records what the system did and who asked for it. It is not a place to leave notes; the only text you contribute is the reason field on the actions that ask for one, such as cancelling an invoice or requesting a payout-wallet change.

Legal & regulatory disclosures

Zoyn is software. It is not a bank, a payment processor, a payment gateway, a money transmitter or a money services business. Zoyn is never the seller in a sale (the "merchant of record"). Zoyn never holds a shop's money, and does not decide how long a payment company may hold it. When a customer pays by card or bank, the payment company handles that payment under its own terms and may hold it for a short time. The money then goes to the shop's own payment contract once the payment network has confirmed it.

Businesses can be based in 64 jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. Customers can pay from 130+ countries through the checkout providers we connect to; which countries customers can pay from is set by those providers, not by Zoyn, and may change without notice. Not available in sanctioned jurisdictions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
