Working with your accountant
Give your accountant read-only access, and hand them files their software imports directly.
You never need to share your own sign-in or forward screenshots. Two things in the product exist for exactly this: a read-only role, and accounting-ready exports.
Give them their own read-only access
Invite your accountant or bookkeeper from Team → Invite a team member with the Bookkeeper role (invites are owner-only). A bookkeeper can:
- view payments and payment links,
- view reports and billing history,
- download the CSV exports.
They cannot create or change anything — no payment links, no settings, no team changes. The server enforces this, not just the interface. If they should ever stop having access, remove them from the Team page; removal is immediate.
Hand over the two files they actually need
The payments CSV. On the Payments page, Download CSV gives you every column Zoyn holds for the rows you are looking at — including the payment network fields — with amounts in the coin's smallest unit (one digital dollar is 1000000), with every payment status, and test payments included and flagged rather than hidden. Whatever you have filtered on screen is what lands in the file. This is the complete record.
The monthly statement CSV. Under My money → Reports → Statements, one statement per calendar month, per settlement currency. This is the file to hand a bookkeeper, because it is the one that separates the numbers they need: gross, the fee rate that applied and where it came from, the fee, and the net your wallet actually received — plus the transaction ID and network for each row, so anything can be checked independently on the payment network.
Zoyn does not emit a QuickBooks or Xero import file. That is deliberate. Payments are paid out through the payment network, straight to a wallet you control, and nothing is converted to a bank currency — so a bank-statement layout, which carries one unlabelled amount and no fee line, would state the gross figure as if it were a deposit and quietly misstate your books. The statement CSV above carries the same period with the fee separated out, which is what your accountant needs in order to post it correctly in whichever package they use.
Because your accountant can hold the Bookkeeper role, they can download both files themselves whenever they need them.
The reports built for period-end
Most report date ranges are rolling windows ending now, which is the wrong shape for bookkeeping periods. One is genuinely calendar-aligned and is the one to hand over at period end:
- Monthly statements — one statement per calendar month, per settlement currency, each with its own CSV of that month's settled payments.
It lives under My money → Reports — see Reports for what each report shows and how the date ranges behave.
