Electronics & computer retail

Sell high-resale goods without wearing the chargeback risk.

Electronics and computer retailers (MCC 5732 and 5045) sell exactly the goods card fraud targets: high value, easy to resell, shipped quickly. Acquirers answer that with reserves, ticket limits and holds. A pushed payment that is treated as final only after the required network confirmations removes the reversal that made the fraud worth attempting.

Why this category gets penalised

The problem is the gap between paying and travelling.

Card fraud aimed straight at your inventory

Resellable hardware is a standing target for stolen-card orders, and the loss lands on the retailer once the issuer reverses the payment. Reserves and ticket caps on this category are the acquirer's response to that pattern.

Payments are pushed by the buyer and final after the required network confirmations. Zoyn does not reverse them, so a shipped order cannot be un-paid.

Funding holds on your biggest days

A launch or a clearance run spikes volume far above the profile you were underwritten for — the classic trigger for a review or a temporary funding hold on card rails.

Each transaction settles independently into a smart-contract vault on Base, with no daily aggregate being monitored for deviation.

Distributor and reseller margin split after the fact

Drop-ship and reseller arrangements mean one sale owes a distributor and a storefront. Reconciling that from a single lump settlement is manual and always late.

Each sale settles to your wallet, final, at confirmation, so distributor and reseller invoices can be paid on timing you control, from your own wallet.

Paying overseas suppliers on tight component windows

Component allocation moves fast; a wire that takes days plus an FX spread is the difference between securing stock and missing it.

Paying a supplier is a USDC transfer you sign from your own wallet — no correspondent bank in the path and no float between order and payment.

How it works

One payment, settled to a wallet you control.

How a travel booking settles through ZoynA traveller pays a booking link. The payment reaches a settlement contract, which divides it in fixed proportions set when it was deployed and pays the merchant’s own wallet and the platform fee directly. Zoyn sits outside the flow of funds.TravellerHostedcheckoutSplitcontractYour walletPlatform feeZoyn (config)Funds never pass through Zoyn
1

Create the payment link

Set the amount and the order reference — a build, a bulk hardware order, a trade account purchase.

2

The buyer pays their way

Card or crypto on a hosted checkout. Card availability depends on the buyer's location, currency, and available checkout providers. Card-funded payments are handled upstream by integrated global on-ramp bridges, so you never touch card data.

3

The split contract routes the sale

Proportions are fixed when the contract is deployed: your share and the platform fee. Every sale follows them exactly, verifiable on a public block explorer.

4

USDC lands in wallets you control

Settlement is treated as final only after the required network confirmations. Zoyn is not in the path and never holds the funds.

Category

MCC 5732 and 5045 are supported categories in this group. Your declared category is checked at signup.

Jurisdictions we cannot serve

We cannot onboard merchants operating from comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. We do not hold ourselves out as licensed anywhere.

Wallet addresses you'll be paid to are checked against sanctions lists when you enter them, and re-checked every day after that.

Common questions

What electronics & computer retail merchants ask first.

Does this remove fraud risk entirely?

It removes the reversal, which is what makes card fraud profitable against this category — a settled on-chain transfer cannot be clawed back. Your own order-verification and shipping controls still matter for the goods themselves; what changes is that a delivered order stays paid.

We ship internationally. Does the buyer's country change anything?

The settlement mechanics are the same wherever the buyer is, because the payment arrives as USDC on Base rather than through a card scheme's cross-border path. We cannot onboard merchants operating from comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions, and beneficiary wallet addresses are screened by real-time on-chain compliance oracles on entry and daily thereafter.

Are you holding the funds while the order is packed?

No. Zoyn is not a payment processor and never takes custody. The buyer's payment reaches a split contract that pays your wallet directly, and Zoyn never holds settled funds.

Legal & regulatory disclosures

Zoyn is a software provider operating a non-custodial payment orchestration platform — not a payment gateway, money transmitter, payment processor, or financial institution. Zoyn does not custody settled merchant funds or set provider reserve terms, and does not act as a merchant of record or money services business. Checkout and on-ramp providers may process or hold card- or bank-funded payments under their own terms before on-chain settlement reaches the merchant's nominated contract after required confirmations.

Direct merchant account onboarding supported across 64 verified global jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. Global buyer checkout (USDC settlement) supported across 130+ countries via integrated on-ramp bridges; buyer-checkout coverage is determined by the third-party on-ramp providers, not by Zoyn, and may change without notice. Not available in sanctioned jurisdictions: CU, IR, KP, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
