Studios, gyms and coaches (MCC 7298 and 7997) get paid before the sessions happen, which is exactly the shape acquirers price as risk. Once on-chain settlement is treated as final, after the required network confirmations, a package sold in advance is revenue in your wallet rather than a balance someone else is holding.
The problem is the gap between paying and travelling.
Prepaid packages inside a dispute window
A session block or a season pass is paid for up front and consumed over months. Prepaid, long-fulfilment categories are where rolling reserves and delayed funding are most common.
On-chain settlement becomes final once the transaction confirms, and a prepaid block is not a card-network dispute rail.
Disputes after the sessions are used
Cancellations, no-shows and changes of mind arrive as disputes, and card rails take the money back first and consider the studio's published policy second.
Payments are pushed by the member. A confirmed on-chain transfer has no reversal path, so your cancellation policy is what governs.
Paying instructors out of class revenue
Revenue share with instructors, guest coaches and a studio owner is normally worked out after a batched settlement arrives, on a spreadsheet, in arrears.
Class revenue settles to your wallet, final, at confirmation, so instructors can be paid on timing you control, from the studio's own wallet, instead of in arrears.
Coaching clients who are not local
Online coaching sells across borders immediately, but collecting from a client abroad still runs into decline patterns, an FX spread, and settlement delay.
The client pays by card in the countries listed on our Markets page, or crypto, on a hosted checkout, and USDC settles on Base to a wallet you control.

Shares are fixed in basis points when the contract is deployed: the studio's share and the platform fee. Every payment follows them exactly, verifiable on-chain.

Jurisdictions we cannot serve
We cannot onboard merchants operating from comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. We do not hold ourselves out as licensed anywhere.
Wallet addresses you'll be paid to are checked against sanctions lists when you enter them, and re-checked every day after that.

Can we run rolling monthly memberships?
Not as an automatic charge. Zoyn issues fixed-amount payment links and does not store a payment method for future billing, so each month would be a separate link. Studios that adopt this usually sell blocks and passes here and leave any automatic membership billing where it already is.
A member wants a refund mid-package. What happens?
You decide, and if you agree to one you send it from your own wallet. Nothing was pulled from the member's account, so Zoyn does not reverse it, and no card-scheme dispute fee applies — the terms you published are the terms that apply.
Do you hold our takings?
No. Zoyn is not a payment processor and never takes custody. Payments settle straight to wallets you control, and the wallets a payment contract pays are fixed on-chain when it is set up.
