Payments for accountants and bookkeepers

The year-end fee, paid by the client wherever they now live.

Annual accounts, bookkeeping, audit and assurance, and part-time finance director work each end in an invoice, and more of your clients now live in another country. Send each fee as one link, and settle stablecoins straight to a wallet you control.

Before you read on: we publish every business type we take and every one we refuse — 28 we take, 10 we refuse.

Why this is harder than it looks

A once-a-year fee from a client in another country is two problems at once.

Your client moved abroad, and still wants you to do their accounts

A client who relocated keeps their old company, their rental property or their home filing, and keeps you. Now the year-end fee has to cross a border every year, and an international transfer for a few hundred or a few thousand is exactly where fees and exchange rates bite.

Your client pays from their own wallet, or by card where available — buyer eligibility depends on country, payment method, provider, and compliance checks. Settlement reaches your wallet after the required network confirmations, in the currency the link was set in.

The fee comes due once a year, when the accounts are done

Most of your year's fees land in the same few weeks around year-end and the filing deadline. A practice that invoices in bursts can look irregular to a card provider, and a monthly bookkeeping client is a different rhythm again.

Each fee is its own fixed-amount link: the annual accounts, an audit, a one-off piece of advice. For monthly bookkeeping, each invoice is its own link, and there is no automatic monthly charge.

“That's more than last year” arrives after the work is filed

The accounts are done and filed, and then the fee is questioned, or a late filing is blamed on you. When the client paid by card, that disagreement can come back as a card dispute long after the work is finished.

When your client pays from their own wallet, they push the payment, and Zoyn does not reverse a settled transfer. A card-funded payment can still be subject to the provider's own dispute rules. Your engagement letter and the law that applies to you decide what is owed; Zoyn has no refund button, and any refund is a payment you send from your own wallet.

Your fees settle to a wallet only you control.

Two limits worth knowing. If your own account with us is under review, automatic payouts pause until that is resolved. And a client paying by card can be declined, or asked to prove who they are, before the money is sent — a payment that doesn't happen, never money taken back from you afterwards.

How it works

One link per invoice, whatever the job.

1

Create the link for the fee

Fixed amount, with the invoice number as the description. Send it with the accounts, the engagement letter or the invoice email.

2

Your client pays

From their own wallet, or by card where available in their country.

3

The fee reaches your wallet

After the required network confirmations, in the currency the link was set in.

Common questions

What an accountant asks first.

Can I take a fee on account at the start, and the rest when the accounts are done?

Yes — as two links, each a fixed amount. Every link is a single payment.

I do monthly bookkeeping. Can it charge my clients each month?

No. There is no automatic or repeat billing. You send a new link with each monthly invoice, and your client pays it like any other.

What should I put in the link description?

Your invoice number. Keep your client's financial details out of it — the link only needs to tell them which invoice they are paying.

Can clients pay tax, or other bills, through me this way?

No. These links are for your own fees for work you have done. They are not for money you hold or pass on for a client.

Do you accept my practice?

We publish every business type we take and every one we refuse, and every application is checked before it goes live. We don't promise a timeline we can't keep.
