Payments for activity venues

Secure the slot with a deposit. Each guest pays their own share.

Escape rooms, go-kart tracks, paintball and airsoft games and trampoline parks take group bookings for parties, stag and hen weekends and team days. Send a deposit link to the organiser, then one link per guest, and stablecoins settle to a wallet you control.

Before you read on: we publish every business type we take and every one we refuse — 28 we take, 11 we refuse.

Why this is harder than it looks

One organiser, a group from abroad, and numbers that change.

One organiser, twelve people and a deadline

The organiser books the slot, then spends a week chasing everyone else for their share.

Take a deposit from the organiser to secure the slot, then send one link per guest for their share, which the organiser can pass on by message. Every link is a single payment of a fixed amount, one per guest, never one shared link.

The group is flying in for the weekend

Stag and hen groups often book from another country, weeks before they travel.

Each guest pays from their own wallet, wherever they live, or by card where available — buyer eligibility depends on country, payment method, provider, and compliance checks.

The numbers change, and people don't turn up

Someone drops out, two more join, and on the day one guest never arrives.

Your booking terms decide what is owed. A guest who joins late gets their own link. Returning money to someone who drops out is a payment you send yourself.

Deposits and guest shares settle to a wallet only you control.

Two limits worth knowing. If your own account with us is under review, automatic payouts pause until that is resolved. And a buyer paying by card can be declined, or asked to prove who they are, before the money is sent — a payment that doesn't happen, never money taken back from you afterwards.

How it works

A deposit, then one link per guest.

1

Send the organiser the deposit link

A fixed amount that secures the date and time.

2

Send one link for each guest's share

With the booking number and a guest number as the description.

3

The payment reaches your wallet

After the required network confirmations, in the currency the link was set in.

Common questions

What an activity venue asks first.

Can the whole group pay through one link?

No. Every link takes one payment of a fixed amount. Send one link per guest, or let the organiser pay the full amount through a single link if they would rather collect the shares themselves.

Does this work for bowling and other indoor entertainment venues?

Yes, for group and party bookings quoted ahead. Walk-in sessions paid at the desk are better taken on your till.

A company wants to book a team day and pay by invoice.

Send the invoice as one link, with the company's purchase order number as the description. Nothing is charged automatically.

The group cancelled. How do I return the deposit?

A deposit taken this way is a full payment, not a card hold, so returning any of it is a payment you send back yourself, under your own terms. Zoyn has no refund button.

What does it cost me?

A percentage of each payment, agreed with you in writing before you go live: crypto payments start at 0.75%, and card payments, if your business can take them, have a separate, higher price. No monthly platform fee and no setup fee. Network fees, and any extra charge for how your customer pays, are separate. Your customer pays them on top of your price and sees their total before they pay.

Will you take my venue?

We publish every business type we take and every one we refuse, and every application is reviewed before it goes live. We don't promise a timeline we can't keep.

Legal & regulatory disclosures

Zoyn is software. It is not a bank, a payment processor, a payment gateway, a money transmitter or a money services business. Zoyn is never the seller in a sale (the "merchant of record"). Zoyn never holds a shop's money, and does not decide how long a payment company may hold it. When a customer pays by card or bank, the payment company handles that payment under its own terms and may hold it for a short time. The money then goes to the shop's own payment contract once the payment network has confirmed it.

Businesses can be based in 64 jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. Customers can pay from 130+ countries through the checkout providers we connect to; which countries customers can pay from is set by those providers, not by Zoyn, and may change without notice. Not available in sanctioned jurisdictions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
