Payments for coin and stamp dealers

Get paid for collector coins and stamps by collectors in other countries.

Collectors choose from your list, a catalogue or a message, often from another country. Send one link for the order total, with the order number as the description, and post it once it is paid. The collector pays from their own wallet, and stablecoins settle to a wallet you control.

Before you read on: we publish every business type we take and every one we refuse — 28 we take, 11 we refuse.

What we don't take

  • Bullion, and coins bought for the value of the metal in them

This page is for collector coins and stamps, bought for their rarity, grade and history. It is not for coins bought for their metal.

Why this is harder than it looks

Collectors abroad, orders from a list, and disputes about grade.

Collectors live in many countries

A collector who wants one particular coin or stamp is often abroad, and a small bank transfer from another country can cost more than it should.

Send one link for the order. The collector pays from their own wallet, in the currency the link was set in.

Orders come from your list or a catalogue

A collector picks items from your price list, a catalogue or a message, and you total the order.

Set the link to the order total, with the order number as the description. Every link is a single payment of a fixed amount.

Disputes are about grade and condition

When a sale goes wrong it is usually over the grade, a certificate, or the condition of a stamp on arrival.

Your description, your grading and your terms of sale decide what is owed. Zoyn has no refund button.

Orders settle to a wallet only you control.

Two limits worth knowing. If your own account with us is under review, automatic payouts pause until that is resolved. And a buyer paying by card can be declined, or asked to prove who they are, before the money is sent — a payment that doesn't happen, never money taken back from you afterwards.

How it works

One order, one link, then you post it.

1

Total the collector's order

With your description and grade for each item, and your postage.

2

Send one link for the order

The collector pays from their own wallet, or by card where available — buyer eligibility depends on country, payment method, provider, and compliance checks. A large card payment can be declined.

3

The payment reaches your wallet

After the required network confirmations. Then you post the order.

What Zoyn does not do

You take the payment. The rest of the sale stays yours.

Collector coins and stamps only. Zoyn does not grade, value or check what you sell, and it does not find buyers for you.

If you deal in coins whose value comes mostly from the precious metal in them, or sell higher-value pieces, money-laundering and sanctions rules where you trade, including the United States rules for dealers in precious metals, may require you to run a compliance programme, check who your buyer is and keep records. Those duties are yours to meet however you are paid: being paid to your own wallet does not change them, and Zoyn does not find out who your buyers are or do these checks for you.

Common questions

What a coin or stamp dealer asks first.

Does Zoyn check a coin's grade or a stamp's certificate?

No. Grading, certificates and descriptions are yours to provide to your collector. You take the payment for the amount on the link.

A collector wants to return an item.

Your terms of sale, and the consumer law that applies to you, decide what is owed. Returning any of it is a payment you send back yourself. A wallet payment is not reversed by Zoyn after the required network confirmations; a card-funded payment can still be disputed under the provider's own rules.

What does it cost me?

A percentage of each payment, agreed with you in writing before you go live: crypto payments start at 0.75%, and card payments, if your business can take them, have a separate, higher price. No monthly platform fee and no setup fee. Network fees, and any extra charge for how your customer pays, are separate. Your customer pays them on top of your price and sees their total before they pay.

Will you take my coin or stamp business?

We publish every business type we take and every one we refuse, and every application is reviewed before it goes live. We don't promise a timeline we can't keep.

Zoyn is software. It is not a bank, a payment processor, a payment gateway, a money transmitter or a money services business. Zoyn is never the seller in a sale (the "merchant of record"). Zoyn never holds a shop's money, and does not decide how long a payment company may hold it. When a customer pays by card or bank, the payment company handles that payment under its own terms and may hold it for a short time. The money then goes to the shop's own payment contract once the payment network has confirmed it.

Businesses can be based in 64 jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. Customers can pay from 130+ countries through the checkout providers we connect to; which countries customers can pay from is set by those providers, not by Zoyn, and may change without notice. Not available in sanctioned jurisdictions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
