A digger, a dumper or an access platform is loaded and delivered to a site you may never visit, for a contractor you may not have hired to before. Once it is there, it is out of your sight.
Send the hire charge and the security deposit as two fixed links before delivery, with the machine, the site town and the hire dates in the description. The contractor pays from their own wallet, and settlement reaches your wallet after the required network confirmations.
The hire runs over, or the hour meter says more than was booked
The job overruns by a week, or the machine comes back with far more hours on the clock than the quote allowed for. The customer remembers the original price.
Create one more link for the extra days or hours, with the meter reading in its description, so the customer sees what they are paying for before they pay it. Each link is fixed once it is created, so the extra is its own payment.
Damage, missing parts or a machine returned dirty turns the deposit into an argument
A cracked bucket, a lost attachment or a tool that never came back. The question is how much of the deposit you keep, and the customer disagrees.
Your own hire agreement decides damage, cleaning and losses, together with the law that applies to you. Returning any unused part of the deposit is a payment you send back yourself; Zoyn has no refund button. A wallet payment is not pulled back by Zoyn after the required network confirmations; card-funded payments can still be disputed under the provider's own rules.
