Payments for media buying agencies

The client funds the campaign before a single ad runs.

Send your client one link for your fee and a second for the campaign budget, and stablecoins settle to a wallet you control. Each invoice is its own link, and there is no automatic monthly charge.

Before you read on: we publish every business type we take and every one we refuse — 28 we take, 11 we refuse.

Why this is harder than it looks

Large budgets, clients abroad, and fees billed every month.

The budget dwarfs your fee

Your planning fee might be a few thousand. The campaign budget the client funds up front can be many times that, and a single large payment is exactly what a card limit or a cautious bank stops.

Send your fee and the budget as two separate links, each for a fixed amount. The client pays from their own wallet, which suits a large amount — wallet, network and compliance limits still apply.

The client is in another country

International campaigns mean international clients, and an international wire for the budget can take days to arrange before the first ad goes live.

The link works wherever the client is. They can also pay by card where available — buyer eligibility depends on country, payment method, provider, and compliance checks, and card limits are often below a campaign budget.

Month-to-month retainers

Many agencies bill a planning or management fee every month on top of each campaign budget.

Each invoice is its own link, and there is no automatic monthly charge. You send the month's invoice and the client pays it.

Fees and campaign budgets settle to a wallet only you control.

Two limits worth knowing. If your own account with us is under review, automatic payouts pause until that is resolved. And a client paying by card can be declined, or asked to prove who they are, before the money is sent — a payment that doesn't happen, never money taken back from you afterwards.

How it works

One link for your fee, one for the budget.

1

Send your fee as one link

The planning or management fee, with your invoice number as the description.

2

Send the campaign budget as a second link

The amount you invoice the client for the media, as its own fixed payment.

3

The payment reaches your wallet

After the required network confirmations, in the currency the link was set in.

Common questions

What a media agency asks first.

Why two links instead of one?

So your fee and the campaign budget are separate on your client's books and on yours. Every link is a single payment for one fixed amount.

Can Zoyn pay the ad platforms for me?

No. Zoyn doesn't make payments on your behalf. How you pay for the media you buy is up to you.

The campaign underspent. How do I give the difference back?

Your agreement with the client decides what is owed back. Returning it is a payment you send yourself; Zoyn has no refund button.

What does it cost me?

A percentage of each payment, agreed with you in writing before you go live: crypto payments start at 0.75%, and card payments, if your business can take them, have a separate, higher price. No monthly platform fee and no setup fee. Network fees, and any extra charge for how your customer pays, are separate. Your customer pays them on top of your price and sees their total before they pay.

Will you take my agency?

We publish every business type we take and every one we refuse, and every application is reviewed before it goes live. We don't promise a timeline we can't keep.

Legal & regulatory disclosures

Zoyn is software. It is not a bank, a payment processor, a payment gateway, a money transmitter or a money services business. Zoyn is never the seller in a sale (the "merchant of record"). Zoyn never holds a shop's money, and does not decide how long a payment company may hold it. When a customer pays by card or bank, the payment company handles that payment under its own terms and may hold it for a short time. The money then goes to the shop's own payment contract once the payment network has confirmed it.

Businesses can be based in 64 jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. Customers can pay from 130+ countries through the checkout providers we connect to; which countries customers can pay from is set by those providers, not by Zoyn, and may change without notice. Not available in sanctioned jurisdictions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
