Payments for tax preparers

Paid for the return at the height of the season, without a year-round fee.

Personal returns, small business returns and tax planning each end in one fee, and most of them land in the same few weeks. Send each fee as one link, settle stablecoins straight to a wallet you control, and pay no monthly platform fee in the months you're quiet.

Before you read on: we publish every business type we take and every one we refuse — 28 we take, 10 we refuse.

Why this is harder than it looks

A seasonal trade, paid one return at a time.

Most of the year's fees arrive in a few busy weeks

Clients drop in, upload their papers or send a box of receipts, all in the same stretch before the deadline. Then it goes quiet. A way of taking payments that charges you every month costs the same in the quiet months as in the busy ones.

There is no monthly platform fee and no setup fee. You pay one per-transaction fee, starting at 0.75%, agreed with you in writing before you go live, only on the fees you are actually paid.

Every return is its own fee, and often its own client

A personal return, a small business return, a planning session: each is a separate job at a separate price, and many clients only come to you once a year. Chasing a few hundred at a time from dozens of people is where the season's time goes.

Create one link for each return, with the invoice number as the description. Your client pays from their own wallet, or by card where available — buyer eligibility depends on country, payment method, provider, and compliance checks.

“You told me I'd get money back” arrives after the return is filed

The return is done and filed, and the result isn't what the client hoped. When they paid by card, that disappointment can come back as a card dispute long after your work is finished.

When your client pays from their own wallet, they push the payment, and Zoyn does not reverse a settled transfer. A card-funded payment can still be subject to the provider's own dispute rules. Your engagement letter decides what your fee covers; your fee is for preparing the return, not for its outcome.

Your fees settle to a wallet only you control.

Two limits worth knowing. If your own account with us is under review, automatic payouts pause until that is resolved. And a client paying by card can be declined, or asked to prove who they are, before the money is sent — a payment that doesn't happen, never money taken back from you afterwards.

How it works

One link per return.

1

Create the link for the return

Fixed amount, with the invoice number as the description. Send it with the finished return, or by email or message.

2

Your client pays

From their own wallet, or by card where available in their country.

3

The fee reaches your wallet

After the required network confirmations, in the currency the link was set in.

Common questions

What a tax preparer asks first.

Is there a charge in the months I'm not busy?

No monthly platform fee and no setup fee. You pay one per-transaction fee, starting at 0.75%, on the payments you actually receive. Network fees, and any card-processing costs charged by the checkout partners, are separate and shown at checkout.

Can I take part of the fee up front and the rest when I file?

Yes, as two links, each a fixed amount. Every link is a single payment.

Can my fee come out of my client's tax refund?

No. A link is paid by your client, from their own wallet or by card where available. A client's tax refund never passes through it.

Can clients pay their tax, or other bills, through me this way?

No. These links are for your own fees for work you have done. They are not for tax payments or money you hold or pass on for a client.

What should I put in the link description?

Your invoice number. Keep your client's tax details out of it — the link only needs to tell them which invoice they are paying.
