Payments for phone repair shops

The screen fixed while they wait, and the part you have to order in.

Most phone and tablet repairs are paid at your counter, and your card machine does that job well. A link is for the rest: the deposit on a part for a rarer model, and the mail-in repair from someone you'll never meet. Send each as one link, and settle stablecoins straight to a wallet you control.

Before you read on: we publish every business type we take and every one we refuse — 28 we take, 10 we refuse.

Where a link fits

Where a link helps a repair shop, and where it doesn't.

The part for a rarer model has to be ordered in

Most screens and batteries are on your shelf. For an older or less common phone or tablet, you order the part first, and if the customer never comes back for the repair, the part is yours to keep.

Send a link for the part deposit when you order it, and a second link for the balance when the repair is done. A deposit taken this way is a full payment, not a card hold, so if you ever return any of it, that is a payment you send back yourself.

The phone arrives in a padded envelope

Mail-in repairs come from customers you'll never meet, often far from your shop. There is no counter to pay at, and you don't want to post the phone back before the repair is paid for.

Send the link when the repair is finished, and post the phone back once it is paid. Your customer pays from their own wallet, or by card where available — buyer eligibility depends on country, payment method, provider, and compliance checks.

“That's not the original screen” or “the water damage was already there”

The phone left working. Days later the customer says the new screen isn't as bright, or that a fault you found was caused by you. When they paid by card, that argument can come back as a card dispute.

When your customer pays from their own wallet, they push the payment, and Zoyn does not reverse a settled transfer. A card-funded payment can still be subject to the provider's own dispute rules. Your repair terms, including what screen you fitted, decide what is owed; Zoyn has no refund button.

Your repair payments settle to a wallet only you control.

Two limits worth knowing. If your own account with us is under review, automatic payouts pause until that is resolved. And a customer paying by card can be declined, or asked to prove who they are, before the money is sent — a payment that doesn't happen, never money taken back from you afterwards.

How it works

A deposit for the part, then the balance.

1

Order the part and send the deposit link

Fixed amount for the part, with your job number as the description.

2

Fix it and send the balance link

A second link for what's left, or one link for a mail-in repair. Your customer pays from their own wallet, or by card where available.

3

The money reaches your wallet

After the required network confirmations, in the currency the link was set in.

Common questions

What a phone repair shop asks first.

Should I use a link for a screen fixed while the customer waits?

Usually not. A customer standing at your counter can pay on your card machine, and a link adds little there. A link is for the moments a card machine can't reach: the part you order in, and the phone that arrives in the post.

Can one link take the deposit and the balance?

No. Every link is a single payment for a fixed amount, so the deposit and the balance are two links.

Can I use a link to buy a customer's old phone?

No. A link is for your customer paying you for a repair. Buying phones from customers, or paying for a trade-in, is not something Zoyn does.

What should I put in the link description?

Your job or ticket number. Keep the phone's passcode, and anything you saw on it, out of the description.

Is the money held anywhere before it reaches me?

A wallet payment goes to a wallet only you control after the required network confirmations. Two honest limits: a payment can be turned away before it reaches you if the checks on it do not pass, and while your Zoyn account is under review, Zoyn pauses automatic payouts to your wallet until the review is finished.
