Payments for international removal firms

Your customer is moving country. Let them pay you from either side.

International removal firms book a move months ahead and ship a home's contents to another country. Send one link for the deposit after the survey and one for the balance before delivery, and stablecoins settle to a wallet you control. A deposit taken this way is a full payment, not a card hold, so returning any unused part is a payment you send back yourself.

Before you read on: we publish every business type we take and every one we refuse — 28 we take, 11 we refuse.

Why this is harder than it looks

A deposit months ahead, and a balance from someone who has already left.

The deposit is months before the move

You book the container space and the packing crew long before moving day.

Send one link for the deposit after the survey, with the move reference as the description. Every link is a single payment of a fixed amount.

By the balance, the customer lives abroad

When the balance is due, your customer may have a new country and a new bank, and a wire home costs them fees.

They pay from their own wallet, or by card where available — buyer eligibility depends on country, payment method, provider, and compliance checks.

The final figure depends on the survey

The volume on the day can differ from the survey, and the difference turns into an argument.

Send the balance as a new link once the final figure is known. If something changes after that, send one more link for the difference.

Deposits and balances settle to a wallet only you control.

Two limits worth knowing. If your own account with us is under review, automatic payouts pause until that is resolved. And a buyer paying by card can be declined, or asked to prove who they are, before the money is sent — a payment that doesn't happen, never money taken back from you afterwards.

How it works

A deposit after the survey, then the balance before delivery.

1

Survey and quote

A home visit or a video survey, and a written quote that says when the deposit and the balance are due.

2

Send the deposit link, then the balance link

The customer pays from their own wallet, or by card where available — buyer eligibility depends on country, payment method, provider, and compliance checks.

3

The payment reaches your wallet

After the required network confirmations, in the currency the link was set in.

Common questions

What an international removal firm asks first.

Can the balance be charged automatically before delivery?

No. Zoyn keeps no card on file and charges nothing automatically. The balance is its own link, which you send when it is due.

The customer cancelled the move. How do I give the deposit back?

Your terms decide what is owed. A deposit taken this way is a full payment, not a card hold, so returning any of it is a payment you send back yourself. Zoyn has no refund button.

Can a customer pay in instalments?

No. Every link is a single payment for a fixed amount. A deposit and a balance are two links.

What does it cost me?

A percentage of each payment, agreed with you in writing before you go live: crypto payments start at 0.75%, and card payments, if your business can take them, have a separate, higher price. No monthly platform fee and no setup fee. Network fees, and any extra charge for how your customer pays, are separate. Your customer pays them on top of your price and sees their total before they pay.

Will you take my removals business?

We publish every business type we take and every one we refuse, and every application is reviewed before it goes live. We don't promise a timeline we can't keep.

Legal & regulatory disclosures

Zoyn is software. It is not a bank, a payment processor, a payment gateway, a money transmitter or a money services business. Zoyn is never the seller in a sale (the "merchant of record"). Zoyn never holds a shop's money, and does not decide how long a payment company may hold it. When a customer pays by card or bank, the payment company handles that payment under its own terms and may hold it for a short time. The money then goes to the shop's own payment contract once the payment network has confirmed it.

Businesses can be based in 64 jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. Customers can pay from 130+ countries through the checkout providers we connect to; which countries customers can pay from is set by those providers, not by Zoyn, and may change without notice. Not available in sanctioned jurisdictions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
