Take booking deposits that settle straight to a wallet you control.
Travel agencies and tour operators (MCC 4722) get underwritten for the risk of a long fulfilment cycle. Once a payment reaches finality on-chain, after the required network confirmations, that risk — and the reserve it justifies — goes away.
The problem is the gap between paying and travelling.
Rolling reserves on advance bookings
Travel is a long-fulfilment category: a deposit taken in January for an August departure sits inside the acquirer's dispute window for months. Reserves of 5–10% held for 180 days are a normal underwriting response to that risk.
On-chain settlement becomes final once the transaction confirms, and the confirmed leg is not a card-network dispute rail — though provider dispute rules can still apply to any card-funded portion of a payment.
Friendly fraud after the trip is delivered
The service is consumed and then disputed. On card rails the funds are pulled back from the merchant first and argued about afterwards, with a fee attached whichever way it lands.
Payments are pushed by the customer, not pulled from them. Zoyn does not reverse a confirmed on-chain transfer, so representment — the card-scheme dispute-evidence process — does not apply to that leg; provider dispute rules may still apply to any card-funded portion.
Suppliers paid out of a settlement that lands days later
One booking often owes an operator, a guide, and an agency, and they wait on a card settlement that arrives in a later batch — your working capital sits between the traveller and the people you owe.
Settlement reaches your wallet after the required network confirmations, so the people you owe can be paid on timing you control, from your own wallet, out of money that has already landed.
Cross-border payout delay and FX spread
Paying an overseas guide or DMC means a wire, a correspondent bank, and a spread — plus days of float you cannot invoice for.
Paying an overseas guide or DMC is a USDC transfer you sign from your own wallet — no banking intermediary in the path and no float to wait on.
One payment, settled to a wallet you control.

Traveller pays their way
Card or crypto on a hosted checkout. Card availability depends on the buyer's location, currency, and available checkout providers. Card-funded payments are handled upstream by a regulated on-ramp — you never touch card data.
Split contract routes the funds
Proportions are fixed when the contract is deployed: your share and the platform fee. Every payment follows them exactly, verifiable on a public block explorer.
Funds land in wallets you control
USDC arrives directly. Zoyn is not in the path and never holds it.

Jurisdictions we cannot serve
We cannot onboard merchants operating from comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. We do not hold ourselves out as licensed anywhere.
Wallet addresses you'll be paid to are checked against sanctions lists when you enter them, and re-checked every day after that.
What travel & tourism merchants ask first.
If a traveller cancels, how do we refund them?
You send the refund yourself, from your own wallet — the same way you would issue any other payment. Because nothing was pulled from the traveller's account, Zoyn does not reverse it, and there is no card-scheme chargeback fee on the on-chain leg. Your cancellation policy, together with the consumer law that applies to you, decides what is owed, rather than an acquirer's dispute rules.
We take deposits months before departure. Is that a problem?
It is the case this suits best. Long fulfilment is exactly why card acquirers impose reserves on MCC 4722 — the money is at risk for as long as the dispute window is open. The confirmed on-chain leg is not a card-network dispute rail, so the length of your fulfilment cycle stops being an underwriting variable.
Do you hold our money at any point?
No. Zoyn is not a payment processor and never takes custody. Funds move from the traveller to a split contract that pays your wallet directly. The wallets a payment contract pays are fixed on-chain when it is set up.
